A Short Timeline of A2 Hosting History

March 1999 – The Matrix hits theaters. Hollywood's first 100% accurate depiction of working in IT and development.
January 2000 – Our CEO survives the Y2K meltdown by stocking up on creamed corn.
August 2001 – The web host Iniquinet is created as a modest startup business to serve a few clients.
March 2003 – As the company grows it's decided to pick a new name. A2 Hosting is chosen as a tribute to our home town of Ann Arbor, MI.
July 2004 – A2 Hosting becomes the first host to support PHP 5. It was an exciting release for web developers and we couldn't wait to jump on it.
September 2005 – Remember when gas cost like $2/gallon? Oh, and Arrested Development was still airing. No touching!
April 2006 – MySQL 5 is made available. The web's standard database system gets some much wanted upgrades!
October 2007 – Time for a cPanel upgrade. cPanel 11! After a few launch bugs are squashed it never had any problems ever again. Right?
December 2008 – A new company record is set at the annual holiday bowling party. It hasn't been broken since despite everyone's best efforts so far.
August 2009 – We release our awesome Server Rewind backup tool for free on all our web hosting accounts. We know how important your data is, and you shouldn't have to pay a ransom on it.
February 2010 – A2 Hosting's PHP version switcher is now available! Choose the latest release or the previous, depending on your project's needs.
April 2011 – Managed VPS is launched. Providing a fantastic middle option between Web Hosting and Dedicated Servers.
May 2012 - We launched our brand new website. You love it, right? You really love it.
January 2013 - Didn't think our hosting could get faster? Watch out! We launch SSD Hosting in combination with our SwiftServer platform!
March 2015 – Flying cars? We're skeptical about this one. We're still holding onto hope for jetpacks though!
