We wanted to take a moment to express our official stance against SOPA and PIPA legislation. While SOPA has been temporarily shelved and the January vote has been canceled, there is still the distinct possibility of SOPA coming back after being adjusted to meet White House specifications. In either case, A2 Hosting will continue to oppose this legislation and focus on what’s best for our customers.
While a minor victory was won on January 16th with SOPA being momentarily pulled, it’s counterpart PIPA is still alive and well. A Senate vote regarding PIPA is scheduled to take place in less than a week on January 24th.
While A2 Hosting’s voice is only one, our customers can team to create a strong voice against this legislation. We encourage all our customers and readers to contact their U.S. Senators and U.S. Representative regarding opposition of both SOPA and PIPA.
