Getting Started With Our SSL Host Plans

1. Choose one of our affordable Web Hosting, Reseller Hosting, VPS Hosting or Dedicated Hosting accounts. Please note Web Hosting packages will also REQUIRE a Dedicated IP address ($3/mo) to use an SSL Certificate.
   
   Already have a hosting account, but need a Dedicated IP address? Request a Dedicated IP to have one added to your account.
2. Purchase one of the SSL Certificates below.
3. The system will automatically send you an email with a link to follow to start the installation process. If at any point during the process you need assistance, please Submit a Ticket.

3rd Party SSL Certificate Hosting

Have an SSL certificate that you did not purchase from A2 Hosting that you'd like us to install for you? We'd be happy to for a one-time fee of just $25. Just Submit a support ticket outlining your request with the following information:

1. Attach the SSL Certificate to the ticket.
2. A dedicated IP ($3/mo) is required. Please indicate whether you need to add one to your account.
3. Indicate the URL that the SSL Certificate is being installed on and make sure to include if the URL includes "www" or not.

Shared SSL Certificate Hosting

A2 Hosting also offers Shared SSL Hosting! The format of our shared SSL certificate is:

https://username-wwwXX.ssl.supercp.com

Just replace "username" with the username listed in your welcome email and the "XX" with your server number. You can find both of these pieces of information in your welcome email. Need help? Fill out this Shared SSL Request Form and our support staff will help!

What Is An SSL Certificate?

SSL is an abbreviation for Secure Sockets Layer. SSL encrypts information when it travels from a c omputer to a web hosting server. SSL ensures that confidential information like credit card and social security numbers cannot be seen as it moves from the user's computer to the web hosting server. Users can generally tell that their transaction will be secure if the URL begins with "https"

SSL certificates verify your identity and ensure your customers feel secure completing transactions. Without an SSL certificate, your customers would receive a warning message before sending their sensitive information.
