Custom PHP Hosting With Suhosin

A2 Hosting gives our customers the choice of the PHP hosting version they use within the cPanel control panel. Below are instructions on how to choose our PHP 5.2 hosting with Suhosin option:

1. Log into your cPanel account.
2. Select the PHP Version icon found within the Software/Services menu.
3. Select PHP 5.2 with Suhosin from the available PHP options and click the submit button.

What Is Suhosin?

Suhosin is an advanced protection (hardening) system used for PHP installs. Suhosin protects servers and web developers from flaws that are found in PHP applications and within the PHP core. Suhosin is broken down into two independent segments that can be used in combination, or separately, from each other. The first segment is a small patch for the PHP core that applies lower level protection against buffer overflows and format string vulnerabilities.
