How to disable OPcache on Turbo Web Hosting

This article describes how to disable OPcache for PHP on Turbo Boost and Turbo Max Web Hosting accounts.

Disabling OPcache

OPcache stores compiled PHP code in memory, which helps accelerate performance. By default, OPcache is enabled on all Turbo Boost and Turbo Max Web Hosting accounts. However, you can disable it if necessary (for example, for testing or debugging purposes).

To disable OPcache on a Turbo Boost or Turbo Max Web Hosting account, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to cPanel.
If you do not know how to log in to your cPanel account, please see this article.
  2. In the Software and Services section of the cPanel home screen, click Select PHP Version.
  3. In the list of PHP extensions, clear the opcache check box.
  4. Click Save. OPcache is now disabled.
To re-enable OPcache, select the opcache check box, and then click Save.
