How to manage service plans in Plesk

This article describes how to create, edit, and remove service plans in Plesk. Service plans enable you to define packages of hosting resources that you can sell to your customers.

Creating a service plan

To create a service plan in Plesk, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to Plesk as the reseller.
    If you do not know how to log in to your Plesk account, please see this article.
  2. In the left sidebar, under Hosting Services, click Service Plans:

  3. Click Add a Plan.
  4. In the Service plan name text box, type a name for the service plan.
  5. On the Resources tab, set the quotas and limits you want for the various options. You can define specific limits for an option, or make it unlimited.

  6. On the Permissions tab, select the check boxes for the services and privileges you want to enable.

    The Management of access to the server over Remote Desktop check box does not enable Remote Desktop. This feature is disabled by the server-wide security policy.
  7. On the Hosting Parameters tab, select the check boxes for the hosting settings you want to enable.
  8. On the PHP Settings tab, select the check box to enable PHP, and use the list box to select the PHP version.
  9. On the Mail tab, select the e-mail options you want to enable.
  10. On the DNS tab, select the setting you want for the DNS zone.
  11. On the Performance tab, set the quotas and limits you want for the various options.
  12. On the Logs & Statistics tab, select the check boxes and complete the text boxes for the options you want to enable.
  13. On the Applications tab, select the Provide only applications that I select check box to select specific applications that are available to your customers. Alternatively, clear the check box to make all applications available to your customers.
  14. To save the selected settings for all tabs, click OK. Plesk creates the service plan.

    If any selected settings conflict with the server-wide security policy, a warning appears with instructions about how to resolve the conflict.

Editing a service plan

To edit a service plan in Plesk, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to Plesk as the reseller.
    If you do not know how to log in to your Plesk account, please see this article.
  2. In the left sidebar, under Hosting Services, click Service Plans:

  3. Click the name of the service plan you want to edit.
  4. The service plan editing page appears. You can modify the options as described in the Creating a service plan section above.

    Any changes that you make to an active service plan are automatically applied to all subscriptions which use the service plan.

Removing a service plan

To remove a service plan in Plesk, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to Plesk as the reseller.
    If you do not know how to log in to your Plesk account, please see this article.
  2. In the left sidebar, under Hosting Services, click Service Plans:

  3. Select the check box next to the service plan you want to remove. The selected row changes color.
  4. Click Remove. Plesk removes the service plan.
