How to manage bandwidth and disk usage for WebHost Manager accounts

This article describes how to use WebHost Manager to manage bandwidth and disk usage on customer accounts.

Managing bandwidth usage

You can control how much bandwidth an account is allowed to use per day.

To do this, follow these steps:

  1. From the WebHost Manager home screen, click Account Functions, and then click Limit Bandwidth Usage.
  2. Select the account in the Domains or Users list boxes. The account's current settings appear to the right.
  3. Click Limit. The Limit Bandwidth Usage page appears.
  4. To set a limit on bandwidth usage for the account, type the maximum number of megabytes allowed in the MB text box. Alternatively, click Unlimited to remove all bandwidth limits for the account.
  5. Click Change.
    Account bandwidth limits are only checked once per day.

Managing disk usage

You can control the maximum amount of disk space that an account is allowed to use.

To do this, follow these steps:

  1. From the WebHost Manager home screen, click Account Functions, and then click Quota Modification.
  2. Select the account in the Domains or Users list boxes. The account's current settings appear to the right.
  3. Click Modify. The Quota Modification page appears.
  4. To set a new limit on disk usage for the account, type the maximum number of megabytes allowed in the MB text box.
    You cannot set an account's disk usage quota to Unlimited using the Quota Modification tool. If you want to set an unlimited disk usage quota for an account, use the Modify an Account tool as described in this article.
  5. Click Save.
