The India Goods and Services Tax (GST) and A2 Hosting

On July 1, 2017, India transitioned from a Service Tax to a Goods and Services Tax (GST) system. This system is similar to the VAT (Value Added Tax) and sales taxes levied in other countries.

Because A2 Hosting conducts business in India, we are required to comply with Indian regulations and therefore levy GST at the following rates:

  • For customers in Gujarat State: Central GST (CGST) at 9% and State GST (SGST) at 9% of the invoice amount.
  • For customers not in Gujarat State: Integrated GST (IGST) at 18% of the invoice amount.

Customers in India can also optionally provide their GSTIN (GST Identification Number) when placing an order with A2 Hosting. A2 Hosting's GSTIN is 24AAOCA3783H1ZG.

A2 Hosting does not include GST in the prices we display on our web site. Instead, GST is charged and itemized separately on invoices. For information about how to view and manage your invoices in the A2 Hosting Customer Portal, please see this article.
